Well Uni is over for the year, but now is the time when the Share a Book project kicks into overtime.
We have extended the deadline to receive your books and donations until the end of January/early February.
This gives us time to collate them in our holidays, prepare them for distribution, and organise transport, etc! So much to do!
Thank you for the wonderful support - the Masters family, the Biasin family, Penny from Student Services, Suzy for the monetary donation, and many, many others who have donated or purchased books and sent them down to the Gold Coast for our project. We really appreciate it and ask you to remind your friends to clean out their kids bookshelves over the holidays!
Keep up the good work!
Share a Book Project!
A group of 3rd year Education students, inspired to put their Indigenous Studies learning into action through sharing the joy of literacy with Indigenous communities around South-East Queensland... so... won't you share a book with us, and help encourage the love of literacy with our beautiful Indigenous kids in rural and remote communities?

Radio Australia Interview!
Another update - Christine had a brief radio interview with Phil from Radio Australia today, which will be broadcast sometime next week. Excellent news! Hopefully we'll encourage other people to do similar projects in their areas and 'share the love of books'!
A big thanks also this week to the wonderful books donations we have received! Many thanks to Carol, Niura, and the many wonderful donations we've received in the drop box this week! Keep them coming and spread the word! WE NEED YOUR BOOKS! Cheers!

Thank you to everyone from the community and other campuses that are supporting this little project!
We don't have a collection point at any other campus, however we have
asked people if they could put their books through the Griffith internal
mail system to be delivered to the Gold Coast campus. Our lecturer has
approved this, and is happy to receive them. Please ask student
services (or one of your lecturers if they're willing) to send the books
to Dr Jayne Keogh (details below):
Dr Jayne Keogh
School of Education and Professional Studies (Gold Coast Campus)
Building: G30 Room: 3.24
Ph: 5552 8461
If you'd like some book labels to print off and stick inside your books, please email us at shareabookproject@gmail.com and we'd be happy to email you some!
